As a Field service Technician, you are responsible for servicing, repairs and on-site installation of Automation systems with minimal supervision. The main function of this position is to perform preventive maintenance and provide technical support or troubleshooting at assigned Honeywell customer sites. The goal is to ensure system uptime and efficiency.
Technical Responsibilities
Maintain client integrated security systems and Troubleshoot client Honeywell automation system, understand root cause of the problems, and provide long-term solutions to resolving issues.
Respond to emergency service calls as required
Interpret mechanical / electrical drawings, technical bulletins and building plans for small project works. Able to manage and deliver small projects with minimal supervision
Setting up and configuring automation devices such as HVAC controllers, sensors, actuators
Working with Honeywell DCS and DDC.
Customer Management
Promote, build and maintain good customer relations. Provide high level service to customers.
Keep Supervisor informed of customer requirements, systems status, and actual, potential, or perceived customer problems
Demonstrate system and provide training to customers as required
Health and Safety
Carry out site hazard and risk assessments for Honeywell tasks, including proper use of safety personal protection equipment
Administrative Responsibilities
Be responsible for Honeywell’s assets such as tools, software, and the site database.
Complete documentation of all preventative maintenance activities. Maintain customer system documentation with any configuration or model changes
Must be able to acquire the required security clearances. Travelling as required throughout the region to complete services and project installations. Participate in the on-call rotation schedule.
YOU MUST HAVE
Post-Secondary education in a technical field
At least 4+ of experience in Automation System (Comfort point open, JACE and older Honeywell Technololigies)
1-4+ years of experience in Microsoft Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft Office Suite
Valid G driver’s license required

Previous technical/installation experience
Troubleshooting skills
Previous customer service experience. Customer focus and hard work is key.
Good written and oral communication
Ability to follow instructions and identify mistakes
Technical/professional certificate in a related field
Good presentation skills
