Responsibilities

Reads blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
Move machinery as necessary to dismantle, repair and/or adjust as needed
Assembles and installs equipment such as shafting, conveyors, and tram rails
Constructs foundation for machines
Operates lathe to grind, file, and turn machine parts to dimensional specifications
Remove, repair and install hydraulic components or systems
Rigging and material handling
Repair and maintenance of pneumatic components and tools

Requirements

Formal millwright apprenticeship with certificate (443A license)
Previous experience in the concrete and/or construction industry considered an asset
Ability to handle very physically demanding work
Must be willing to work long shifts and extra hours
Must have excellent communication skills to ensure any urgent matters, machinery defects, malfunctions and any safety concerns are promptly communicated to peers and Supervisor
